Finally! Hamster Kombat Announces Date for Airdrop

The Hamster Kombat team has announced that it will generate and distribute its HMSTR token to airdrop participants on September 26.

Hamster Kombat airdrop

The wait for the token generation event (TGE) and airdrop of the popular Telegram mini-game Hamster Kombat may finally be over. According to an X tweet from the team, the long-awaited event will take place on September 26.

Hamster CEOs—the players of the exchange-themed game—will receive their HMSTR token on the said date. The initial launch date was in July; however, Hamster Kombat postponed the event indefinitely as it said the team was looking for the best way to airdrop the tokens to its players.

Hamster Kombat gained traction following its launch in March, becoming the community with the biggest user base on Telegram. The tap-to-earn game allegedly has over 300 million users, with its mini-app bot showing over 80 million monthly active users.

A Tweak in Airdrop Criteria?

Before now, Hamster Kombat announced that its airdrop would be more favorable to users with better profit per hour (PPH) than those with huge token balances. PPH is passive income realized by acquiring cards for a certain amount of the user’s token balance.

However, the Hamster community was met with uncertainties following the launch of mini-games where users can earn keys. The mini-game section of the Hamster app contains several external games that can be played to generate coupons that translate to keys.

The Hamster Kombat team has clarified that games will not determine eligibility for the airdrop but will decide the size of HMSTR a player receives at the TGE. There are currently nine games in the playground section of the Hamster app.

With the date of the airdrop set, the team behind the game is expected to provide further details on the criteria for the token distribution. Notably, the HMSTR token is listed for pre-sale on major exchanges like Bybit and Bitget.
