Wayfinder, an omnichain AI tool, has seen a remarkable surge in the price of its native token, PROMPT. The asset jumped over 114%, trading at $0.3577, which has captured the interest of investors.
Remarkably, the significant surge followed a series of events, notably the interruption of its airdrop claim process. This led the platform to introduce compensation measures for affected users and refunded gas. The project aims to develop autonomous on-chain agents capable of seamlessly navigating decentralized applications (dApps) and executing tasks on users’ behalf.
Airdrop Rollouts
During the airdrop rollout, several users encountered unexpected interruptions. These disruptions sparked questions about the integrity and openness of the distribution process, potentially threatening the community’s trust and long-term engagement—both vital to the project’s growth.
“Some people posting that they never talked about Wayfinder but still qualified, actually did – every single eligible account has a list of qualifying tweet URLs,” the project wrote.
To address these issues and restore user confidence, Wayfinder implemented a comprehensive compensation strategy. The project noted that the Wayfinder team has increased the allocation mid-way from 0.25% to 0.50%.
This means that Wayfinder increased token allocations for impacted users, guaranteeing that those affected still received their rightful portion of the PROMPT tokens. The government further stated that it has expanded the criteria to add accounts with less than 100 yap points.
Yap Points serve as a dynamic rewards system within the Kaito ecosystem, designed to recognize and incentivize user participation and engagement. These points play a key role in determining token distribution during airdrops and influence users’ ability to participate in governance activities such as voting.
Wayfinder Rewards Smaller Accounts
Kaito also noted that those who tried to claim the previous day and encountered issues should refresh the claim page for a better result. Several users are satisfied with the resolution and appreciate the transparency.
According to the announcement, the project will reward smaller accounts with 1100 smart followers instead of the initial 1000. However, users will hit a threshold of Mindshare contribution towards the Wayfinder.
In addition, the project has collaborated with Sign/TokenTable, an established claims partner that has tested across many drops because its process is closely aligned with Wayfinder’s format.
While Kaiko joins forces with multiple claim partners depending on the project, this particular Sign / TokenTable is the right fit. After identifying the MEV issue, their team promptly paused the claim and is working on a resolution. Meanwhile, Sign will reopen the claim once they are assured that the problem is resolved.
Interestingly, Wayfinder was developed to introduce smart agents into the Web3 ecosystem. The idea took shape after a 2023 groundbreaking Stanford study in which AI characters were programmed to mimic human-like behavior in a role-playing game town.
The research revealed the immense potential of autonomous, persistent agents to thrive and interact in digital spaces, inspiring the project’s foundation.
Created by the Parallel TCG team, Wayfinder is a versatile, chain-agnostic platform that empowers users to deploy AI agents to execute various advanced tasks.
These agents can handle everything from managing cross-chain transactions and performing algorithmic trading to executing smart contracts, offering a robust solution for decentralized operations.
