Chainbase (C) Surges Over 200% in 24 Hours After Token Launch

According to Chainbase, its infrastructure has handled over 500 billion data requests, supporting over 200 blockchains and 35,000 developers.

Chainbase’s newly launched token, C, jumped over 200% to reach $0.26 within 24 hours of going live. Following the surge, it has since retraced slightly, trading around $0.23 at press time.

The surge came shortly after Chainbase unveiled its vision for a data-driven AI economy. The project is developing the Hyperdata Network, a system designed to transform raw blockchain activity into structured, AI-ready data.

Understanding the Chainbase Ecosystem

Chainbase aims to address the limitations of fragmented and unstructured blockchain data. Its native token, C, powers the ecosystem by enabling access to data, supporting governance, and securing the network through staking.

According to the project, C is central to its DataFi framework, functioning as the unit of account for data transactions and ecosystem coordination. Agents, protocols, and applications use the token to access verified datasets, while holders can vote on protocol upgrades and incentive models.

To promote adoption, Chainbase allocated 65% of the token’s total supply to community and ecosystem incentives. As part of these incentives, 13% of the supply is reserved for airdrops distributed across three seasons. Season 1 covers 3.5%, with 2% allocated to the community and 1.5% to Binance Alpha participants.

In addition, the project has reserved 12% of C tokens for data node operators. Early backers received 17%, while 15% of the funds went to the core team. A small 3% slice is set aside for liquidity support and market stability. Only 16% of the total 1 billion token supply was unlocked at launch.

Users Question Airdrop’s Fairness

Community feedback on the airdrop process has been mixed. Some users claimed they were wrongly flagged as ineligible for the drop.

A tweet from a team member acknowledged the issue. They invited affected users to file an appeal through a Google form.

The message stressed that the airdrop was designed to reward real contributors. However, the team admitted that edge cases could occur and promised to review all submissions.

Despite this, frustration grew among some community members. One user criticized the team for staying silent on Discord and questioned why Binance Alpha received a larger share than grassroots users.

They argued that C should stand for “Community,” but the distribution model felt like a betrayal. Their post ended with a warning that no project can survive without community trust.

Scalable Infrastructure and Core Components

Amid rising attention on Chainbase and its C token, investment firm Hash Global announced it has started purchasing the token on the secondary market. As an equity investor in Chainbase, the firm expressed strong confidence in the DataFi sector and in Chainbase’s potential to drive data financialization through innovation and leadership.

Chainbase’s appeal stems from its scalable infrastructure and technical architecture. The company says it has already processed over 500 billion data requests, supports over 200 blockchains, and serves a developer base of more than 35,000.

Its core components include the AVS layer for decentralized execution and a programmable data layer called Manuscript. These tools aim to enable AI agents and protocols to interact with data in a trusted manner.

With these innovations drawing more attention to the C token, the project now faces greater scrutiny. All eyes are on how Chainbase handles ongoing community concerns.
