Blockchain investigator ZachXBT ignited a fierce debate today within the cryptocurrency community with a blunt post on X (formerly Twitter). According to ZachXBT, he does not offer XRP holders any form of support, as they do not offer value to the crypto industry.
Furthermore, the on-chain sleuth extended his criticism beyond XRP. He emphasizes that the Ripple-affiliated token and other similar cryptocurrencies, such as Cardano, Pulsechain, and Hedera, only provide exit liquidity for insiders.
“Ripple (XRP) holders provide nothing of value to the industry except exit liquidity for insiders, thus are not worth supporting (Likewise with Cardano, Pulsechain, Hedera, etc.),” ZachXBT stated.
Exit Liquidity for Insiders
ZachXBT’s latest critics come as no surprise to the crypto community. On several occasions, the blockchain police have criticized XRP, explaining why investors overlook the asset, despite its recent notable achievements, such as the regulatory clarity it has achieved following years of legal tussles with the US SEC.
For context, in a recent tweet, he detailed that his major concern about XRP is the token’s circulation. ZachXBT asserted that the concentration of the XRPL native token’s supply is in the hands of insiders and early investors, which drives selling pressure upon liquidation.
According to the on-chain sleuth, Ripple’s partnership with XRP appears suspicious, as the cross-border payment giant controls a majority portion of the total 100 billion XRP supply. Additionally, he pointed out other XRP flaws, including partial payment exploits that undermine network security and user trust.
Community Reactions
Notably, ZachXBT’s post has sparked widespread reactions, as many of his X followers agree with his verdicts. A user with the X handle Mak0lol praised the analysis, insisting he hopes that someday supporters realize that XRP is a “ponzi scheme.”
However, XRP loyalists like Crypto Eri expressed disappointment, noting ZachXBT’s prior collaboration with Ripple and TRM Labs. She suggested that the post appears to be a betrayal of the XRP community and asked him to “please reconsider.”
With the ongoing thread fueling both backlash and support for the XRPL native token, it continues on its path to recovery. At the time of writing, XRP is trading at $3, representing a 4.4% increase over the past seven days.
