SuiNS Token (NS), the native token of the Sui Name Service (SuiNS), a decentralized naming system built on the Sui blockchain, has surged by more than 200% in the last 24 hours following the announcement of a partnership with the decentralized artificial intelligence (AI) agents platform Talus Network.
According to data from CoinGecko, NS was worth $0.27 at the time of writing. Before trading at this price, the token spiked 390% within three hours from $0.092 to $0.451 as news of the partnership made the rounds.
With a market cap of $48.6 million and a fully diluted valuation of more than $156 million, NS has a maximum supply of 500 million coins – 155 million NS are already in circulation. The cryptocurrency is up 177% and 21% monthly. However, the asset is still 47% down from its November 2024 all-time high of $0.607.
The Partnership Between SuiNS And Talus
The alliance between SuiNS and Talus aims to bring AI agents to the Sui Network. AI agents refer to software programs designed to meet predetermined goals by interacting with their environment, collecting data, and utilizing the data to perform self-determined tasks. In other words, AI agents independently choose the best actions to achieve set goals.
To enable the partnership, SuiNS will integrate Talus into its infrastructure, while Talus will do the same for SuiNS. Talus says it will also integrate Walrus Protocol, a decentralized data storage platform, to ensure resilience and accessibility for its AI agents.
“By leveraging Walrus, Talus ensures that our AI Agents operate with models and data that’s always available, reliable, and safe from any centralized points of failure. This partnership underlines our commitment to robust infrastructure as we scale our on-chain AI ambitions,” Talus said in a blog post.
Talus also mentioned that the alliance with SuiNS will accelerate its on-chain AI future as Sui ensures faster AI agent deployment via the universal smart contract programming language Move. Additionally, Sui has scalable and high-performance on-chain intelligence.
“We are thrilled to partner with Sui to bring our next-gen Talus AI Agents to one of the most innovative Layer 1 ecosystems in Web3. This marks a major milestone in Talus’s mission to pioneer a world where an empowered community leads the integration of AI agents into every facet of digital life,” Talus added.
What’s in it For Users?
To commemorate the latest partnership, Talus is launching the Tallys non-fungible token (NFT) collection, comprising 5,555 uniquely generated collectibles named Wardens of the Orb.
Users interested in securing a spot on the Tallys NFTs waitlist have been invited to a Talus NFT cross-community tournament scheduled for February 24 to 26. Talus says there are 33 waitlist spots up for grabs, and the tournament users will be announced on February 27.
Meanwhile, SuiNS wants to add five new features to its interface, including profiles, friends, activity feed, messaging, and auction service. To this effect, the protocol has launched a governance proposal seeking community votes to get the projects underway.
Although the proposal does not need approval, the Sui Foundation is trying to familiarize the community with the voting processes involved in future projects funded by the treasury. Voting started on February 20 and will end on 21.
