Phantom Wallet, one of the leading crypto wallets for the Solana ecosystem, has announced a significant expansion of its multi-chain capabilities by integrating the Layer 1 blockchain, Sui. This integration makes SUI accessible to over 15 million monthly Phantom wallet users globally.
The latest integration marks a crucial step for Phantom, which aims to become a key player in the cross-chain ecosystem. It will enable users to seamlessly interact with assets and decentralized applications (dApps) across multiple blockchains.
With the launch, Phantom Wallet users can now manage Sui-based assets, tokens, and dApps directly within the wallet interface. This expansion of support positions Phantom as one of the few wallets that offers robust support for both Solana and Sui, two high-performance platforms.
Over 850 Million Transactions Facilitated
Launched in 2021, Phantom has rapidly emerged as one of the leading wallets in the industry. By 2024, it had facilitated 850 million transactions, all while providing users with cutting-edge features such as in-app token swaps, NFT storage, staking, and smooth multi-chain integration.
The integration shows Phantom’s dedication to promoting a multichain future and offers users within the Solana ecosystem the opportunity to easily explore Sui’s blockchain and obtain a Sui address.
Commenting on the latest move, Brandon Millman, CEO of Phantom, said:
“When we transformed Phantom into a multichain wallet in 2023, we did so with the commitment that only the most capable chains would be integrated into the app.”
Sui to Focus on Scalability & User Experience
Sui has become one of the fastest-growing Layer 1 blockchains, driven by its object-centric approach that ensures fast, secure, and easy asset ownership for all.
Sui’s focus on scalability and its superior user experience aligns perfectly with Phantom’s goal of making crypto accessible for everyone,” Millman added.
With this integration, Sui users on Phantom can now send, receive, and manage their SUI in one intuitive interface, access tokens like BLUE and SEND built on the Sui token standard, swap SUI with thousands of tokens, including Sui-based assets, and access dApps, such as Suilend, Navi, Aftermath, Bluefin.
Since early 2024, Sui has rapidly scaled into the top 10 blockchains by Total Value Locked (TVL), reaching over $2 billion in its ecosystem as of January 4, 2025. Additionally, it has become the second-largest recipient of Ethereum outflows on Wormhole, showcasing substantial confidence from the wider crypto community.
