Sonic Labs (S) to Airdrop Tokens to U.S. Investors. Will Price Follow?

Sonic Labs has partnered with Galaxy through a token sale to enhance its U.S. market presence and digital asset growth initiatives.

Sonic

Blockchain company Sonic Labs has announced plans to airdrop $S tokens to United States investors in June 2025, with a portion of the tokens immediately available and the remainder vesting over a 270-day period. The airdrop listed on Binance is soon to commence its token distribution.

With this step, the company positioned itself as a forefront altcoin project, legally enabling token distribution in the U. S. This strategic move paves the way for other altcoins, increasing the $S token’s reach and accessibility.

Good News for U.S Investors

The Sonic Labs team recently disclosed airdrop distribution specifics, outlining the plan for token allocation. With a total of 190.5 million $S tokens allocated for this airdrop, it’s clear Sonic isn’t holding back on rewarding its early community.

According to Sonic Labs, the airdrop is accessible to users worldwide, including those in the United States. The team has also secured a strategic partnership with Galaxy, a prominent digital asset player, through a token sale to drive growth in the U.S. market.

Prior to this announcement, U.S. investors were likely excluded because the U.S. government has been skeptical about crypto and activities such as airdrops. They even probe or challenge crypto companies whose business activities appear suspicious.

By onboarding the U.S. audience to the list of beneficiaries for the $S airdrop, Sonic believes that the current U.S. regime is favorable to the crypto market.

Sonic Airdrop Pattern

The Sonic airdrop’s first phase enables users to claim 25% of their tokens immediately for trading and usage freely. Conversely, the remaining 75% follow the predetermined vesting schedule.

This 75% stash of the Sonic airdrop cryptocurrencies will be locked and converted into tradable non-fungible tokens (NFTs), which will unlock gradually over 270 days. During this period, users can buy, sell, or transfer these NFTs, providing liquidity options.

Despite the recent announcement, the current record shows that Sonic’s price has failed to impress. According to data from CoinMarketCap, its price has significantly dropped to $0.406. This represents a 50.8% price decrease.
