Brad Weds Tara
Reports indicate that the Ripple CEO became engaged to marry Tara Milsti, a certified dietitian and nutritionist, earlier this year.
The wedding was widely labeled as a luxurious wedding. Aside from the luxury venue, the bride’s accessories included a diamond necklace. Invitees included popular figures in the movie industry, such as Nina Dobrev, Zac Efron, Chase Crawford, and Miles Teller. The couple invited Chris Martin, the lead vocalist from the British band Coldplay, to perform at the wedding.
As of now, there are no public mentions of crypto-focused figures in attendance at the recently concluded wedding.
Notably, this would be Garlinghouse’s second marriage. In 1998, he married Kristen Elizabeth Mautner, a senior executive in the lacrosse industry, whom he met during his college years. He had three children with her before their divorce in 2020.
A New Love Aside from Ripple
Since December 2020, Ripple Labs has faced a regulatory clampdown from the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). However, a change in the U.S. administration has enabled the duo to finally end the five-year legal battle. Shortly after Donald Trump was sworn in as the U.S. president, he replaced the SEC’s chairman, Gary Gensler, with Paul Atkins, a pro-crypto politician.
During the five-year-long tussle, the 54-year-old Ripple CEO primarily focused on pursuing the lawsuit. With the legal battle finally over, Garlinghouse has now decided to start a new life with his new love, Tara Milsti.
Meanwhile, Ripple’s native crypto, XRP, saw a mild 1.75% increase to $2.86 within the past 24 hours.
