$PUMP Hits New YTD Peak as Buybacks Top $468M Mark

The market has driven PUMP to new levels for 2026, with buyers briefly raising the price to its highest point of the year.

Pumpfun

PUMP, the native token of the Solana-based token launch platform Pump.fun, has reached a new year-to-date (YTD) high, continuing a rally that began in September and has generated significant market interest.

The latest increase coincides with the platform’s cumulative buyback spending exceeding $468 million and the removal of hundreds of billions of tokens from circulation. This rise marks an important milestone for PUMP after several months of trading well below its current level.

PUMP Soars Near 15%

PUMP surged during the latest trading session, reaching a high of $0.005534 and setting a new year-to-date record. CoinGecko currently reports the token trading at around $0.005712, up 14.8% over the past 24 hours. After a brief pullback, PUMP remains near the upper end of its recent trading range.

In the past week, the token has risen 10.9%, showing a strong recovery. Daily trading volume hit about $441 million, bringing PUMP’s market capitalization to nearly $2.36 billion. These numbers indicate significant trading activity as investors react to the recent price increase.

Unlike other tokens that follow market trends, PUMP’s growth connects to increased interest in Pump.fun’s earnings and token buybacks. This connection is important for traders looking to see whether demand will stay strong after the latest surge.

However, the market has pushed PUMP into new territory for 2026, with buyers briefly driving the price to its highest level of the year.

Buybacks Cross $468 Million

The price rally can be attributed to Pump.fun’s buyback mechanism, which allocates 50% of its earnings to purchase PUMP tokens before burning them. To date, the project has invested a total of $468.38 million, removing 168.88 billion PUMP tokens from circulation through these burns. This amounts to approximately 16.888% of the total supply.

The most recent buyback occurred on September 29, during which they spent $1.02 million to buy 187.1 million PUMP at an average price of $0.005446. Just a day prior, they invested $1.21 million to buy and burn 228.3 million PUMP, responding to a rise in market price. On September 26, they spent $1.46 million to acquire and burn 320.4 million PUMP.

Currently, Pump.fun reports an annual revenue of $525.49 million. This figure includes earnings from the bonding curve, PumpSwap, and terminal revenue across platforms such as Solana, Base, Ethereum, and BNB.
