Crypto Exchange Gate.io Rebrands Domain After 12-Year Operation

Gate.io has rebranded to Gate.com as part of its push to grow globally and expand beyond crypto trading.

Gate.io Pump.fun

After 12 years of running under the name Gate.io, the popular cryptocurrency exchange has rebranded its website to a new domain, Gate.com. It also changed its brand logo. This move is part of the company’s broader effort to grow its brand and reach a global audience.

Gate.io’s Evolution Over the Years

Gate.io was founded by Lin Han in China in 2013 under the name Bter.com. However, in 2017, after China’s strict crypto regulations, the company rebranded to Gate.io. It also moved its headquarters to the Cayman Islands to focus on international users.

Over the years, Gate.io has grown from just a trading platform into a full crypto ecosystem. The company now offers several services, including its own blockchain (GateChain), a crypto venture arm (Gate Ventures), and even an NFT platform (Magic Box).

According to its official website, the exchange supports more than 3,800 cryptocurrencies across its spot and futures markets. It also sees an average of $32.04 billion in daily traded volume, ranking it among the leading crypto exchanges. The crypto platform now serves over 23 million users.

Why the Change to Gate.com?

Gate.io changed its domain to Gate.com, as this new name could be easier to remember. Gate’s goal is to keep improving its services by staying professional, secure, and transparent, with the vision of becoming a core part of the crypto industry.

As part of its rebrand, Gate says three major pillars drive its growth. They include putting users first, tapping into zero-knowledge technology to verify its reserve security, and expanding its geographical reach by securing more licenses across multiple international markets.

The switch to Gate.com marks a major milestone for the company, showing how much it has evolved over the years. With a global focus and expanding services, Gate is positioning itself as a long-term player in the world of cryptocurrency.

As part of its global expansion strategy, Gate.io recently teamed up with Oracle Red Bull Racing as its official crypto exchange partner, aiming to use the team’s worldwide popularity to promote blockchain adoption, strengthen its brand presence, and connect with a broader audience.
