Bitcoin’s price commenced this week continuing its unprecedented surge over the weekend. The top cryptocurrency defied the market’s earlier bearish sentiment following Trump’s assuring pursuit of the Strategic Reserve for Virtual Assets.
Crypto market analyst Ali Martinez highlights the significance of Bitcoin’s interaction with its 200-day moving average (MA). He noted that the current rebound may be a typical pattern, where a price increase following contact with the 200-day MA is subsequently rejected, leading to a decisive break through. This suggests a potential scenario of short-term gains followed by a renewed downturn.
Crypto Experts Identify BTC Surge Bearish
Conversely, another popular analyst, Will Clemente, expresses a more bearish outlook. He acknowledges the potential for a retest of lower price levels, framed within the context of what he terms a “euphoric” market response to potentially manipulated news cycles.
Furthermore, Will expresses skepticism regarding the sustainability of the current price increase, anticipating a pullback and predicting that optimal buying opportunities might present themselves in the low to mid $70,000 range. His analysis incorporates one- and three-month liquidity charts to inform this prediction.
Anticipated tariff announcements further complicate the forecast and will likely negatively impact market performance. The prior experience of a tariff announcement leading to a sharp price drop, highlights the potential influence of external factors on Bitcoin’s price.
Additionally, one analyst points to a bullish signal—closing above both the 21-week and yearly opening prices—but its reliability is debated. A safer prediction is a retest of the 21-week moving average (MA) as support. If this support fails, the price could fall further, potentially retesting the trend line and even the 50-week MA. This aligns with Will’s anticipated buying opportunity around the $70,000 range.
