Coinbase Lands Major Deal with Samsung for 75M+ Galaxy Users

Famous electronics giant Samsung has entered a strategic partnership with the renowned cryptocurrency platform Coinbase, allowing its United States-based Samsung Galaxy users to access cryptocurrency services. Coinbase’s co-founder and CEO, Brian Armstrong, revealed this via an X post on Friday.

Crypto for 75M+ Galaxy Users

According to a recent press release from Samsung, the alliance will enable over 75 million Galaxy users in the United States to purchase cryptocurrency directly through its Samsung Wallet mobile application. Through this integration, Samsung offers Galaxy users more options for investment safety and management.

Following the partnership, Samsung Wallet users can seamlessly view their cryptocurrency holdings and make mobile crypto transactions, such as peer-to-peer transfers, directly within the mobile application, making it a convenient tool for managing crypto assets.

Commenting on what the firm plans to accomplish with its latest Coinbase One integration, Drew Blackard, Senior Vice President of Mobile Product Management at Samsung Electronics America, said:

“Millions of Galaxy users rely on their smartphones to complete everyday tasks, and that goes far beyond communication — it’s paying in-store, unlocking a car, showing an ID, and more. Samsung Wallet enables each of these experiences, and we’re continuing to expand its functionality. With our Coinbase partnership, Galaxy users have a simple and streamlined way to access crypto from a leader in the industry.”

Free Three Months of Coinbase One Subscription

To incentivize more users to try out the new feature, Coinbase is offering a free 3-month subscription to Coinbase One for Samsung Wallet users. This includes special access to a premium membership experience with zero trading fees on a few specified crypto assets, increased staking rewards, and exclusive partner offers.

Additionally, it will offer a free $25 credit to Samsung Wallet users after they place their first trade on Coinbase.

Notably, Samsung’s latest crypto integration for Galaxy users follows in the footsteps of the Solana blockchain, which recently launched a Web3 Smartphone, the Solana Seeker. It is an Android device designed to enable seamless interaction with blockchain-based applications while offering standard smartphone features.
