Donald Trump Claims Victory as Whales Cash In Millions on Election Outcome

Projections suggest Trump is one state away from securing the 270 electoral votes needed to reclaim the presidency.

Donald Trump

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has claimed victory over Kamala Harris in the United States presidential race, marking a near return to the White House and a historic comeback. According to a BBC report, he described the outcome as “a magnificent victory for the American people.”

Addressing his enthusiastic supporters at a Florida rally, Trump stated his vision for “a new golden age for America.”

Although final results are still pending, TV broadcasting firms CBS and BBC project that Trump is just one state away from crossing the 270 electoral vote threshold needed for victory. If successful, he would become the first former president in over 130 years to reclaim office.

A Comeback to the White House?

According to the BBC report, Trump is on track to win all seven key swing states needed for victory and may also capture the national popular vote, a milestone he missed in 2016. CBS projects victories in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Georgia, with Wisconsin leaning his way. He also leads in Michigan, boosting his chances of returning to the White House.

In Nevada, Trump is well ahead, while Arizona remains highly competitive. Adding to his success, projections suggest that Trump’s Republican Party will secure a Senate majority.

On the Democratic side, Kamala Harris was initially set to address supporters at her alma mater, Howard University in Washington, DC, on election night. However, her campaign co-chair, Cedric Richmond, later announced she would not speak until the following day, explaining to the crowd that they would “continue overnight to fight to make sure every vote is counted.”

Whales Cash in Millions on Election Outcome

As Trump edges closer to victory, large bets have been placed on his success through Polymarket, a popular offshore crypto betting platform. Blockchain analytics firm Lookonchain revealed that large investors, or “whales,” are cashing in millions on the election outcome.

Lookonchain stated that ten major players collectively wagered $70.6 million on a Trump win. Among them, “Theo4” reportedly invested $18.6 million, earning a profit of $20.4 million, while “Fredi9999” and “zxgngl” secured gains of $15.6 million and $11 million, respectively.
