1% of $SKATE Token Supply Up for Grabs on KAITO—How to Participate

Stake, an infrastructure layer that allows users to interact with any virtual machine (VM) while remaining in their desired blockchain, has revealed plans to launch its native token, $SKATE. Earlier today, the project announced it would airdrop 1% of the soon-to-be-launched token to eligible users (called Yappers) within its ecosystem.

“Yappers” on the Stake platform refer to users who have staked or “yapped” the $SKATE tokens to participate in the network’s validation process. Yappers are an essential part of the ecosystem as they validate transactions and aid in securing the network.

The team behind the Skate chain has partnered with Kaito AI, a crypto intelligence platform powered by artificial intelligence (AI), to distribute the token rewards to qualified users.

Interestingly, Kaito’s native token, $KAITO, soared by over 26% following the collaboration announcement to reach a trading price of $1.99. At the time of writing, however, the digital asset has retraced its steps and traded at $1.76.

How to Participate

The Skate team has simplified the $SKATE airdrop process to accelerate community growth. Users can easily qualify for rewards by signing up on Kaito Yaps, a website dedicated to Yappers. Thereafter, they will post on the X social media platform, tagging @skate_chain or using the ticker $SKATE in their content. Quote retweeting X posts related to the Skate ecosystem is also essential for those who wish to earn rewards.

Following a user’s first post, their tweets will be indexed and ranked based on Kaito’s AI-powered algorithm. This algorithm ranks users based on engagements, smart engagements, and other factors.

Based on how often users post about the project, they may be tagged as Casual or Hardcore. Depending on the type of content, users will either be tagged as Shitposters or Curators. Judging by post uniqueness, the algorithm ranks users as Copy Pastas or Creative writers.

To ensure transparency, the project has launched the Skate Yapper Leaderboard, which is visible to the public and constantly updated to show users’ rankings and their eligibility for rewards.

How Rewards Will Be Distributed

To fetch and reward active users, the project will only distribute the 1% $SKATE to 50 winners from the leaderboard, excluding Skate team members. The token distribution will be spread out within six months, between February 24, 2025, and August 22, 2025, with 0.167% of the $SKATE supply distributed monthly.

Remarkably, the Skate token is not yet trading live. Thus, rewards for snapshots taken before the Token Generation Event (TGE) will be distributed after the TGE. Meanwhile, snapshots will be taken each month, and rewards will be distributed after each 30-day epoch ends.

Meanwhile, Skate will launch the Yapper Bootcamp on Discord to educate yappers on creating quality content, growing a massive audience to increase their reach, and meeting other requirements to rank among the top 50. Bootcamp attendees will also receive additional rewards.
